We are a local community service that provides services to the frail aged and their carers in the Caringbah and surrounding areas. The service is funded under the Home & Community Care Program (HACC)
Our services are based around reducing social isolation and helping our clients to live in their own homes as long as possible.
We provide many forms of help within and outside the home plus social activities.
Our home help programs include home visiting, shopping assistance, help with correspondence & bill paying,assistance with attending appointments and minor
gardening & maintenance.
Our social activities include small group outings for morning tea or lunch in the Sutherland Shire, shopping bus to Southgate, theme based morning teas at our service and joint outings with other neighbour aids. We also have a monthly day at our service for all our clients and volunteers..... lunch, a guest speaker and entertainment is provided.
Our services are provided by trained staff and volunteers.
Cost for our services is a recommended donation amount. This money is used to help cover the expense of providing the services and reimbursing our volunteers. No service is refused if a client can't provide a donation.
Looking for a rewarding volunteer role that is flexible to your own needs and provides training and reimbursement for any expenses? We are the service for you! We have a variety of volunteer roles:
-one on one service provision with a client. This can include home visiting, friendly phone calls or shopping assistance. The choice is yours.
-assisting with our social outings, this includes transporting clients.
-joining our activities we hold at our service. This can be transporting clients or helping in the kitchen or being part of the group activity.
-providing very basic gardening assistance
All volunteer roles can be weekly, fortnightly, monthly or when you are available. Join us for a few hours a week or a few times a year......just give us a call for more information.
